i have a blackberry 9300 curve. Also i think i have the updated IOS 6.

For the past few weeks i have been trying to send text messages , the weird thing is i can send text to whoever has sent me a text before. But i cannot send text message to anyone new.

I get the error "Network out of order"

So i read up online and people say:
1.in sms options change Network To Send Over to GPRS. I dont get that option but i get "circuit switched" and "packet switched".

Both dont work. :?:?:?

I dont know what to do !!!??

Help !!!

Re: Text Message

You read on line but did you read the instruction manual for the 9300? I bet no.
Your changing options that can cause this error message.
Assuming you have a carrier plan that included texting data.

The top link will provide info on the error and the lower link is for the 9300.

Ok , so if your sure you do not have the ability to change to GPRS then you need to call your carrier. Blackberry's use a service control called Service books. If your not configured correctly by your carrier you may not see the proper network or connect properly.
Your carrier does offer a full Blackberry data plan so it may be quickest to call them.

your carrier may not allow text via either Circuit or packet as most do. I could not find anything on their site about their methods.

Text messages are a phone issue, not a Blackberry issue. I concur with the above that you need to call your carrier and see if they can help you get it sorted out.

I did call the carrier. They could not do anything. Absolutely useless. The worst part is i got this number from a girl I met and i wanted to make my first move by texting her.. and i could not.. had to call her instead... uncool.. i dont like wavering from my plan..:P

I dont see any solution to ths anymore.. tried everything.. can i reinstall the OS..?

Re: Text Messages lost

I've changed to BB9900 touch and now keep on losing my sms. They seem to stay in the phone for about a month only. I checked all set-up: seems all ok, maximum validity.
I never had that problem with my other BB Bold 9700,

Help please!
