Blackberry Curve 9320 without BIS
 

Hi All,

I just got my Curve 9320 and I am really excited about it. My first BB. Well, the thing is, my carrier does not provide BIS service so I am changing it soon.
My question is, yesterday I managed to use Whatsapp and Appsworld and other apps using my home WiFi. But today I cant manage to use them. But I can surf Internet with the Browser and use the Youtube App. When I opened the Appworld it says that I am not connected to internet. On the main screen however, the symbol states that I am connected. It is quite strange because it worked smoothly yesterday.

Would really appreciate some help here.

For whatever reason the BlackBerry services worked initially, it was an anomaly. What you observe now is the way it is. No BIS, no BlackBerry services. Apparently you are able to use the wifi browser, which is good. You will also be able to use any apps that you are able to install and that will use wifi (or the carrier's apn) but that will be it. No BlackBerry branded apps.

All the above is true because you do not have a BlackBerry data plan. You will need that in order to take full advantage of your device.
