Total Newbie: Setup Questions

Hello people; I bought a second hand Blackberry Curve 8310 and am currently trying to set it up for email.
I have got this message on the screen:
Contact your System Administrator to fid out whether an Enterprise Activation Password will be provided or if you need to install the Blackberry Desktop Software.

I have no idea to how to contact the System Administrator. I am in Germany, using a German network.

Sorry if this is a stupid question.

You need to contact your carrier (O2) and make sure you have a BlackBerry data plan. Without it, you will not be able to receive email.
