Default My Blackberry Keeps Shutting Down!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone, I have a Blackberry Curve Boost Mobile. I have had it for two years and have had no problems with it until a couple of months ago.

I am strolling through the internet and my phone will shut off, then the red light flashes. The screen goes white with the hourglass showing. Then it loads and the security verifies. By the time all this is done, the battery is on low power when it was originally on full power before it shuts down. This keeps happening all the time.

My phone never does it while it is on the charger but when it is off the charger, it always shuts down. It's frustrating! My battery doesn't fit in on the back of it like it used to. No matter how hard I try, it doesn't seem placed in properly. Could that be the issue? If not, what else can it be and how can I fix it? Thanks guys!

You may need a new battery, but I would try inserting a piece of heavy paper between the battery cover and the battery to see if that helps. A cut up manilla file folder can work well to prevent the battery from moving around.

Note that if the battery is moving away from the contacts you may have to shim the opposite edge of the battery to keep it pressed against the contacts.

Agree. Sounds like a battery going bad. You might also want to try a borrowed battery, one you know is good, if possible. And if have a spare battery that you believe is good, by all means try that and see if there is a difference.
