Diferent domain name in certificate
 

Hi all,

Since getting BBM7 I regularly (few times a day) get:
You are attempting to open a secure connection to:
"bbm.voip.blackberry.com"
but the server's certificate contains a different domain name:
"....btopenzone.com"

Options are:
- Continue
- Close connection
- View certificate

I can see lots of people have reported similar problems with various apps over the years but I've never seen a solution.

Is there a solution?
Do I need somehow to get a key into the keystore?
Can I configure so that I get the option to trust the certificate?

It's because you're using a BT WiFi hotspot and it is trying to redirect you to the login page.

You might be right. Even when I had the BT app to ensure auto login I got the messages. Have you ever seen a solution?

No, there's no real way around it.

I get it even when I'm logged in to my own (BT) router. Can I turn off voip in bbm7?

It can be disabled on a corporate BES server using IT policy setup but I cannot find a way to disable it on a BIS service BB.
