BlackBerry 8900 freezes after enter MEP code

Hi all!

I've a BlackBerry 8900 from Movistar Spain and I've the MEP code to unlock it. Everytime I try to unlock it, the code is accepted and then the BB freezes completely. Then, when I restart it, it's still locked by the phone carrier.

I've made a factory reset and tried again, but it still the same.

The software version is 5.0 Bundle 1682.

What should I do? Can anyone help me, please?

Purchase a new device. The 8900 is old, and not worth saving.

Yes it does. The 8900 is not worth your time to unlock. Purchase a new, unlocked device.
