What are those numbers?? Sorry if this has been asked before. 2 quick questions, When you take a picture with a blackberry it has a number assigned to it. eg: 20121223-00475 Just want to check, using the example above, that is the Year (2012), Month (12), Day (23), what are the last 5 digits ? If you get a picture with these numbers attached to it, can you safely assume that it was taken with a blackberry? or could it have been downloaded and saved on a blackberry and then received these numbers a a way to identify the file? Cheers Kaupontenkak |
Re: What are those numbers?? The "last 5 digits" are the sequential serial numbers for the pictures. 00001, 00002, 00003, etc. If the picture has that file name, it likely was taken by a BlackBerry, however, this is not absolute. A person could have renamed any file like this. You could look in the EXIF data. Note, however, that simply "downloading and saving" a picture on a BlackBerry would not change the name of the original file and would not produce that type of file name (at least not automatically). Again, anyone can rename a file almost anything. |

Re: What are those numbers?? Bro?? You can easily look at the EXIF data (some of it anyway) on your computer by simply right clicking on the file and click on the "Details" tab. Otherwise, there are lots of programs you can use such as Picasa, cam2pc, Photoshop, and many others. |
