Default Yahoo email problem on 9670

Please Login to Remove!

Need help please on why my pushed email no longer works.

For years I've had Sprint service, and my yahoo mail. Even when out of the country using WiFi and the 'radio' turned off, I could send and receive email.

I recently moved to Montana for a few months, and had to drop Sprint service as they don't have towers in the State. Since then the email, using WiFi, has gone!

I no longer have any email setup in the software. The 9670 has been a good phone for me, especially the camera which is quite remarkable in the right lighting conditions. I want to keep it as a very portable camera, and the best way to export the pics, for me, is through email.

Thanking you for any help you might offer

Did you cancel your BlackBerry Data Plan? Some WiFi services need a BlackBerry Data Plan even if the radio is turned off.

Thanks for the reply..... I didn't know I had to have a Blackberry Data Plan. How can I get it? Is it something I pay for? Sorry I'm ignorant of this

If you use data on a BB, then you need a BB dataplan. You get it from your cell carrier. If you are not using Sprint any longer, then you do not have the data access.

BBs are not like other cell phones when it comes to date.

Carriers charge different rates, but most are around $30 a month for data, on top of the voice plan.

It's because you have leftover service books. They won't work forever.
