Default 9360 vanishing Icon problem

Please Login to Remove!

This is a 9360 using UK Vodafone. When I first got this phone, sending and receiving SMS text messages was simple and straightforward, but the maybe I pressed the wrong key sequence or whatever but the Text Message Icon disappeared from the home screen. Ive had a look at the pdf User Guide and apart from showing the icon it does not seem to say how to reinstate the icon om the home screen. err... H E L P

moving icons to any folder including the home screen is possible.
On a touch screen press the icon until the guide box opens and follow the directions.

Yes.. Thanks for that. I know I can move an icon, but the problem is that I can't find the original SMS icon anywhere. I need to scan menus etc which is slow and irritating. It's incredible that I have such a job going to simple SMS, so the icon back on the home screen would be ace! Correction..the icon anywhere would be great, then I can move it as you suggest. Thanks for any further ideas.

Reading some of the reasons ICON's vanish, Blackberry support indicates thisis a problem with some versions of OS and it suggests doing an OS upgrade. do a backup first. you can also do the backup and try a factory restore. If the ICON is there then do a restore.
you did not indicate the OS level you have.

Another thing is if your using a corporate BB they can remove the ICON via the IT policy.
