Default Internet problem

Hi! I recently bought a BB bold 9790. Before this one I owned a curve 8520. I use a dataplan where you receive 2gb internet every month. With the curve I had to set apn: in order to use internet everywhere. My bold works on 2g and 3g but I can't seem to get this to work. I just figured out that the dots on top mean your BB has made a connection to the internet. They only appear when my wifi is turned on or for about 20 minutes after I do a battery pull. So basically my mobile internet only works when my wifi is turned on or for a while when I've done a battery pull.. Can someone please help I have no idea what the problem is..

You need a BlackBerry data plan. Your 8520 worked because it had old service books from someone having a BlackBerry data plan. Your 9790 doesn't have them.
