Default General Failure

I don't upload images very often from my 9800. But when do I don't have a problem, until today.

Took an image with the camera. Selected Send as Email attachment. Selected Original size. That was 2.2MB. Filled in the proper spaces on the email format and hit Send.

The upload progress indicator climbed to 100%. Then there was a pause and a Red X, General Failure displayed. I tried again on WiFi. Again the progress indicator said 100% was uploaded and shortly after the "General Failure " Red X displayed. Nothing in "Sent"

Anyone have a clue?

No. Device is working normally other than that. It also handled several images that were smaller (<500K).

It is in a protective case and getting it out to pull the battery is a pain. Now that I think of it last time the battery was pulled was a couple years ago.

Since the original post I'm wondering if it is an arbitrary system issue?

Could be a carrier issue. Do as aiharkness said and try again.

Not totally sure; but it does appear to be a problem in the network. Over time I have discovered that some ISPs don't play well with others. Maybe that is what happened.

Initial tries were using WiFi. Just did the upload and transmission using ATT mobile network. Went just like it is supposed to. No problems.

The job is done.

That seems to be a firmware issue with you BB 9800 so kindly update your phone to the latest firmware and see if that works or reset it to factory settings.
