Google Contacts sync not working
 
I have BB Bold 9700 running OS 6. I have it setup to sync my contacts and calendar to my Google Contacts and Calendar, through the built-in sync options. The problem seems to be that Contacts isn't being updated, but Calendar is. Is there some way I can check a log or something on the Bold to find out what's happening? Or how do I simply fix this?

Never mind, I think I may have found the answer in this KB article:

KB32501-Wireless Contact and Calendar synchronization between the BlackBerry smartphone and an integrated Gmail account is not functioning

Okay, it looks like I'm still having the problem, even after following the Blackberry KB article. Can anyone suggest anything else? :?

Sometimes the linkage to Google fails. Often the only way to resolve it is to delete the account on your BlackBerry and re-install it. Before trying the uninstall/reinstall you should check all your settings, and maybe toggle off/on syncing with your GMail account. That *might* sort it out.

I seriously thought they deprecated this functionality.... The sync never worked at all, partly because google/android use a single field to contain addressing information .... where as blackberry separated it by fields and this caused super amounts of duplicates because 1 field: 1 address description consistently (tried 10+ times over 3+ years) never worked...

there was a 3000+ post on google complaining about how bad the bb sync was .... it is/was literally HORRIBLE.

unless maybe you only had a name/phone/email entry!

I attempted the delete and recreate the account method. When it resynced, it showed that it synced the Calendar, but showed no status about resyncing the Contacts. I did tick both the Calendar and Contacts options when I reset it up.
