Default Can't connect to the internet

Please Login to Remove!

I have a Curve 9310 through straight talk wireless. Just activated it yesterday and everything worked fine until I woke up this morning with no internet service at all. I can call, text, and use wifi but can't connect to the internet though the wireless network. I've tried pretty much all of the obvious quick fixes such as pulling the battery, switching the mobile network on/off, ect....not solutions. I know the obvious thing to do is talk to the service provider but all that got me was a 1/2 hr conversation with an Indian woman who obviously had no idea what she was talking about. I figured the phone isn't defective since it did work fine less than 24 hrs ago. Just giving this a shot seeing if someone has any ideas on what the problem could be before I have to go through the trouble of sending the phone back through the mail.

Okay, sounds like you do have a BlackBerry data plan on your account. When you were talking to customer service maybe they checked and made sure your account was set up correctly?

You've tried a battery pull. Next step is to resend service books. Make sure you are in a location with good mobile signal when you do it.

If resending service books doesn't fix it, time to call customer service again.

Yes, have the data plan and the woman from customer service indicated that everything was as it should be on their end. I also have full bars at my home at all times. Excuse my ignorance, but I have no idea what service books are or how to resend them.

Are you sure you were not on WiFi when you had access to the internet? I don't think Straight Talk supports BIS, and without that or some other kind of access plan you will get data services. Some carriers offer special hybrid data plans that enable things like Facebook or BBM but do not support all the BlackBerry data services. Normally those add-on services are called "Bolt-Ons".

Yes, positive because I was connecting at work where I barely have cell service and theres certainly no wifi. Plus I used the gps in my car. Plus as of right now I have zero data options including facebook and bbm.

It sounds like Straight Talk turned off something on your account. You should call their support line and ask specifically about getting internet on a BlackBerry.
