Default blackberry curve 9300 manual selection for network

Please Login to Remove!

when i set my curve 9300 to "manual network selection", and i select my networ, if i go in a palce underground or something and i lose the signal, the phone doesn' t pick up the signal automatically when i am back in a coverage area.

on the lock screen it gives an alert window that says "can't find home network and asks me to chose whether i waast to: set it to automatic, go into settings, or cancel"

i have thrn to either go in settings and select it again or jsut set it to automatic and it will find it. in

my iphone for example, doesn't do this. if the network is lost for any reason, then i go back to coverage, if it finds the home network it seects it automaticaly without having to go to settings.

so is this it normal behavior for blackberry to wants me to go into settings and select it manually every time it is lost becasue it is set on "manual"?

It's normal behaviour on a BlackBerry. Just leave it at Automatic. There is no reason to do manual selection.

One would wonder why anyone would simply not leave it on automatic and avoid the frustration. I suspect people think using a different carrier will avoid charges.
