Default BB Curve 9320 - Email Issue

Hello.


In advance, thanks for any help: this issue has been driving me a little mad for a good few days.


I am trying to set up my email account on my BB, using: <Setup> <Email Accounts> and then inputting my email address and password.


When I click the <Activate> button, I receive the window which informs me 'Acquiring service connection...'


This window stays on for several minutes and then I receive the following information:


'Activation request failed. A service connection is unavailable.'



In my [Mobile Network], my [Data Services] are turned [On].


[While Roaming] is [On].


[Connection Preference] is [Mobile Network Preferred].


I also have a wi-fi network enabled and am able to connect to the internet, using my mobile phone.


I have tried a 'soft reset' - removing the battery while my mobile is turned on then, replacing after 5 seconds - but, unfortunately, this has not helped.


I have no idea what else I should do. Please help, if you can.

My apologies but, I do not know what a 'data plan' is.

You would need to contact a carrier (Phone service provider), who would then give you a BIS Plan (BlackBerry Internet Service) Plan. Older BlackBerry models require a special plan to work, and it doesn't cost any more than any other plan (depending on how many minutes or the amount of data)

Some carriers offer PAYG (Pay As You Go) service if a monthly plan isn't right for you.

I am having that sort of problem too...my bb won't send or receive any emails...I try to email something, and then a few senconds later it vibrates, and notifies me like I have a new email, but it has a red 'x' indicating it didn't go through...also my browser icon disapeared...I called Verizon, and they said it was working just fine, that it wasn't locked, but I told them that whenever I click on it in the app switcher, it tells me that I don't have the service books...I DO have the service books for my email though...
