I am unable to ping and message people using BBM on android but am able to receive pings and messages from them. I can ping and be pinged by normal blackberry phone users. Pls what do I do?

BBM is a blackberry to blackberry text system. If your seeing text messages from non blackberry devices it is going to the standard text application on the blackberry.

Check your phone for the standard text app.

This cross-platform implementation of BBM needs some patience by Android and iOS users. BlackBerry seemed pretty desperate to get it out so the fact that arrived with a few warts is not surprising. There have been 2 updates in just a week, and this latest update solved a crashing problem on my iPhone 5s. Kudos to BlackBerry for addressing these issues so quickly!
