I have a Blackberry 02. Have lost all the pictures on the phone. It did not have a media card. Is there a way by which the pictures can be restored

You can try downloading the Desktop Manager from Blackberry.com. It's a free program.
Once you have it try to use it to check any available files and if possible do a full backup.
Read the manual on how to use it.

I have downloaded the Manager but it shows no pictures. There was no media card in my phone so does it mean that I have lost them.

using DM open the files on the BB and see if any are available. The photos may be in a file on the BB.
Also try a backup of the phone and try to see is anything is there after you do a restore.
Sadly without a backup not much else can be done.

If you do get the photos move them to your PC.
