my bb is on a bis account, so no bes server...yet with Lookout Mobile Security, which I downloaded free from app world, I can locate my lost bb via gps coords, and even remote wipe...for free

pftttttt! I guess that's what you get for free!

Actually, as I recall, the 8830 always had problems with GPS location.
What are you settings in your Options > GPS?

I have bb curve 8520 and I've been trying to download lookout mobile security but I can't. It says COD missing. Besides I've tried downloading frm bb app world but when ever I punch in my login details it takes me to another page were I have to change my password bt I can't use app world
