Password Echo not working
Hi... new to the forums and hoped someone could help me.
Got an IT policy on the BES (5.0.3) that allows for Password Echo to be enabled. However, in testing handsets (8520, 9300, 9780, 9800 - the actual keypad) I don't seem to be able to briefly see the password characters.
Someone said that Password Echo doesn't work with QWERTY handsets; however, given the Password Echo facility can be enabled in the IT Policy, I am not sure if their statement is correct.
Could someone please help.

This rule specifies whether, after a given number of incorrect password attempts, the characters that a BlackBerry® device user types in the Password dialog box appear on the BlackBerry device screen.
The Password Required IT policy rule affects this rule. The BlackBerry device uses this rule only if a password is configured on the device. To require a password, configure the Password Required IT policy rule to Yes.
The Set Maximum Password Attempts IT policy rule affects this rule. To specify the number of incorrect password attempts that the device permits before the typed characters appear on the screen, configure the Set Maximum Password Attempts IT policy rule.
