Question BES Entreprise activation

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I have a complicated problem.

I would like connected a BES server in a laboratory completely isolated from my production.

I have licences and I have an exit towards Internet.

My domain (labo) is unknown.

How does Entreprise activation work?

Is a valid domain name smtp necessary?

I thought that when I took an address smtp to validate it in the BES it sent that to the SRP which awaited connection by GSM (thus not need of valide smtp).

Server smtp is nowhere normally since it seems that the system is only a router-gateway between the world of GSM and the world of e-mail

My config is BES 4.1.4 with a router in a DMZ

Thank you for your attention

For enterprise activation to work, mail must be able to route from the Internet to the mailbox of the person that you are trying to activate.

Well ... you could search here and at the BlackBerry Technical Solution Center ... or you could just use these links: What is the enterprise activation process and Identifying and troubleshooting enterprise activation issues. You might also download the product documentation for the software that you're running. There are some good explanations in them too.
