Smile solution found:apache web server and blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

Hello everybody!

I'm developing a website for use with BB. I mount an apache server with my own static ip adress. To start , i put a Hello world page. But when i try to connect shows me an error: "connection timed out". I try this page in pc explorers (mozilla an ie) and it works perfectly. I dont Know whats the matter.

This is the link to the hello world page.

Documento sin título

its shows "El servidor funciona correctamente" (The server works correct in English).

I review the forum, google, my apache configuration and the BB explorer configuration. The BB can view any other page (so the connection its OK).

Anyone can help me?

Best regards.

(NOTE: Sorry my poor English)

The issue is probably your server...which is probably well beyond this forum.
Make sure you can actually view the page within your network to make sure it is up.
The check things like your firewall, etc.

Good luck

Thanks for your reply jonabyte!

Can you see the link i posted? you must see a basic page that say "Este Servidor funciona".
Im sure that the server is up, cause I can see it from my office, in my home, etc. in a Pc Explorer. So the firewall and the other normal settings are Ok. I think the problem is in the BB, but i dont Know what. I mount a lot of apache servers with no problems, but never to surf via BB.
I Think also, that the server need a special config or so, but i dont know.
In any case the support for BB is so poor. I work with symbian and the community is so extended...

One more time thanks, if you have any idea, tell me please. Im so desperado.

The problem was a hide ip filter in the router. It only can be accesed via telnet. Down the filter , down the problem. Its works fine!!
