Default Offshore coverage

Please Login to Remove!

Hi I am new to the forum and to Blackberry. I just recently acquired a Blackberry 7230 t-mobile. I fish offshore (up to 60 Miles) and wondered if there is coverage offshore (or is this more like a cell phone than a GSM phone?). Blackberry support could not ansower this question.
Thanks
