Smile using BB Messanger on a Windows machine

Hi Folks,

Blackberry Messanger is installed on all our corporate Blackberries be default. We need a way to Instant Message our Blackberries in the field from Windows desktops in the office.

In the past we would load an ICQ client on all our Blackberry devices, then ICQ'ed the users from our Windows desktops to the Blackberries, when they are out of the office or country. It works really well, but now that we have tonnes of Blackberries I would like an easier to manage solution.

Can we install Blackberry Messanger on our Windows desktops and IM our Blackberries when there out of the office, using Blackberry Messenger. This would allow us to use BB PINS instead of creating 15 new ICQ accounts for all our new BB's

From my understanding, Blackberry Messager is a Blackberry device only protocol. Are there any 3rd party software developers in the mix adding support for Blackberry Messager on the Windows Platform ?

Les Elton,
Network Admin.

Default

Blackberry Messenger uses PIN-PIN messaging and can't be used on the PC.
