I've bought a PIN unlocked BB off ebay. I have two questions:

1. I know that updating the software won't relock the phone, but will it relock the PIN? If not, can I use any carrier's software and which is the best to use?

2. Can I use the blackberry browser with my non-blackberry data plan with the PIN unlocked?

Any help would be appreciated.

PIN is the unique identifier for a BB. If you have unlocked the phone a software update will not change it's unlocked status.

You will not be able to use the BB Browser without a Blackberry Data Plan but you can use Opera Mini.
