Hello quick question, I tried searching but could not find a complete answer. I originally setup my BB with VZW on the BIS $30 plan. I added two email accounts, my personal BB's email address and my work's email address (added through VZW's BIS web page).

I have since moved to an area with no internet access and so needed a tethering option. I called VZW and they switched my plan to the $45 unlimited plan (which I'm under the impression is BES).

I can now tether, and everything appears to be working OK, but my concern/question is am I actually on BES and if so, who can read my messages (SMS or email?)? Can I still use VZW's BIS even though I'm on that upgraded plan? Basically, what exactly did VZW change?

I'm guessing you are still on BIS but have the tethering package added now
