thx... but this only shows the name of your filter. you have to go into each filter to see the phrase or address you've selected. maybe next time, i'll keep both the name and contents the same!

>To start with, let me give you the low down on how you will get HTML email on your HH... I've done countless battery-pulls soon after the upgrade window was up but never got it to work.

Have you tried pushing service books? If it works it is much easier procedure that removing and adding email accounts.

I think I've done that too. I think it's the same as how you should be re-integrating Hotmail as was posted on the RIM KB Article. But it could've just been me. Thanks for pointing that out!

Welcome to the 21st century; HTML email is here to stay. One function of the BB is to be an extension of your desk / laptop / whatever ... where I'm pretty sure even you receive HTML email.

Every other major playing in the smartphone arena has support for HTML email; its time RIM did the same.

If our data connections were limited to 14.4 kbit I'm pretty sure we wouldn't see HTML email. There are more bits now; they're gonna get used.

See first posting on that thread. When HTML becomes available for CDMA device, just select NO at 'Enable HTML email.'

I do appreciate that HTML is not forced on anyone. I have one of email addresses which is HTML spam magnet, I am thinking of keeping HTML off for it.
Somehow HTML code and URL links from spam emails annoy me less than flashy content with pictures of blue pills.

yes, but i'd have to click on every individual filter and print/copy/etc. i was hoping to be able to somehow get all of the filters (name and rules) printed out at the same time. i have multiple filters with one rule.. not just one filter with a bunch of rules.

Awesome but I'm not gonna hold my breath being on CDMA. Hopefully they don't drag-a55 on this...

If I read the hdawg article (linked to above) correctly, HTML email support is only for reading messages on the BB...if you create a new message, forward, or reply to an HTML message, it goes as plain text. So if you're having a back-and-forth the message will become plain text on your first reply. Also, you'll have to confirm display of each image via the menu. Is that correct? If so, the HTML support part of this upgrade seems pretty underwhelming to me...

Ya that's the only way I know.

You don't have to. Look for the "Download Images Automatically" field under "Enable HTML Email."

Well that's good to hear...but still, the loss of HTML formatting when you do any action on the email is disappointing to me.

The HTML formatting doesn't get lost at all... only the images--not sure if that matters to a lot of folks around here. Here's what I did:

1. Sent an email from Entourage.

2. Received on the BB and replied.

3. Reply received on Entourage (should be the same with Outlook--tried it yesterday).

Notice how the inserted image got lost in translation.

I've tried it with Outlook too. See #3 above.

Thanks for the test results...that's better than the article said it would be, but it's still unfortunate about losing the images.

Do you think they would run un update of this scale on a business day? I was more keen to thing of an update over the weekend like the apac one.

w00t Guam mPulse got their upgrade and we now have HTML e-mail. All I had to do was resend the service books from the "carrier".blackberry.com site.
