Unhappy Will my Balckberry Work in Australia?

i have just brought a blackberry of ebay.. it says its unlocked.
and i got the seller to send me all the technical information, like when networks it will work on.. when i went on the websites, they had those networks.. does this mean it will work fine? alot of people are telling me that it wont work ect..
will i still have trouble?

If its a GSM Blackberry it will most of the countries in the world have GSM technology as their mobile wireless network. In fact I I think 80% of the countries of the world use GSM.
