Default Help with network@etp1001.etp.na.blackberry.net message - 12-09-2008, 09:06 AM

Hi all,

Totally new here with a 5-month old BB pearl 8100. Just got a new computer with Vista and installed Desktop manager. I synchronized fine but since Sunday PM I've been getting loads of messages from

[email address]

Here is what I've tried :
as suggested, uninstalling DM
turning off the phone AND removing the battery
after reinstalling DM, messages kept coming

Can anybody help me? Should I install a new DM from the net which would be upgraded to work better with Vista? I use the BIS.

Help!

Thanks a lot for the link... That's pretty much what I did. Still have questions though -

how/when can I reinstall DM so that the messages don't keep coming?

Which ones are the DM service book? I've already deleted a few - but there are about 15 left.

Can you help me again?

When you install DM, which option are you selecting?

You want to select the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) option.

You want to delete ALL service books for [desktop]

I use the BIS, but I will admit that Sunday, I don't remember what I did exactly and I ended up having the "e-mail" in the DM and I realize that that's where my problems started.

Today, I still don't have DM installed. I'm waiting until I don't receive any more "network" e-mails before I reinstall it.

In the meantime, I looked online and tried to do a "clean" uninstal, but wasn't able to get to all the components, I just couldn't find the documents they were referring to, and another problem was that it was explained for Windows 98, ME and XP, but I didn't find anything for Vista... And I forgot how to "unhide" files...

And, when I'm finally ready to reinstall DM, which version do you suggest I use?

Thanks in advance for your help... I really need it and appreciate it!!!
