blackberry messenger not sending messages listing contacts as busy
 

When trying to send a message to a blackberry messenger contact it will not send or it lists the contact as busy or on the phone. Also contacts are shown as busy whom your not in converstion with but its after you close conversation

Similar problem here, messages show as delivered on my phone are never actually delivered.
probably about 10 of my 20 contacts are doing this, getting frustrated.

Is it a new issue?
Are you trying to contact your buddies using their PIN numner?

Neither PIN nor messenger works. I know to a 100% certainty that they have data plans, most of them are co-workers.

With messenger when I try to add them it just sits in the "pending" group. I have tried using PIN and email to add them, no difference.

The BES admin tells me they do not deal with the messenger, it is 100% controlled by the cell company, I wouldn't know.

BlackBerry Messenger is controlled by RIM alone. There are many threads in this forum and others which address this same symptom. Usually, it occurs between the US and UK. Apparently there are fine tuning issues that have to be addressed if an OS update has been applied. You will need to contact your carrier first to verify that the provisioning is intact and up to date, then you will be referred to RIM for the resolution. Please have a known contact ready via email or landline to confirm test results when the RIM csr is working with you and sending test PINGS. Good Luck.
