Default BBM conversations disappearing

Please Login to Remove!

This issue isnt happening to me but to two of my friends on two different carriers. Both are running 4.5 (one on a VZW Pearl and the other on an AT&T Curve) Since new years day both have been telling me that their BBM conversations will disappear after a few minutes. Some of which the messages are not even recieved by the contact they are trying to talk to (not to each other). I had them both do battery pulls but the issue has come back. Is RIM having an issue with its BBM service? My wife and I havent been affected (both on att) and I havent heard anything other issues from my other friends running BB's. I did a search in this forum but didnt find anything that was similiar to the issue. Thanks for your help.

It may be carrier based-either a network issue, or the carrier having intentionally set a limit on the amount of time a conversation can be "saved".

I am having the same type of issue!

I have my company e-mail setup through Yahoo's small business... I haven't been receiving all of my e-mails, but when I do get an e-mail (and read it), I lock the phone and I'll come back to the e-mail inbox and it's gone.

This is NOT a carrier nor network issue - one of my coworkers has the same exact phone & service and we work side by side each day.. he gets the e-mails with no problem and I don't get them all.

Go to Options>Status-how much free memory do you currently have?

I don't know because now, for whatever reason, some of my icons are missing. This is CRAZY!

It reads, "File free: 41027672 Bytes"

Also, I think I figured out what is causing it to delete the messages from my bb. I have outlook configured to receive all my emails going to my yahoo small business email. Outlook was just open and I sent a test e-mail - my phone buzzed, showed I had an email, then it disappeared immediately. It stayed in my outlook mailbox, though.

my sms messages were vanishing. my emails were not. it seemed to happen more so in the north east part of the country. there are also several place in the country that my curve would turn off by itself and then get stuck in a bootup loop. i just upgraded to the newest software in hopes that takes care of the problem.

My friend with verizon called and tech support told him to go to host routing table and then hit the menu button and register now. He said that fixed the issue.
