There should be an option for Gmail users who delete emails to have it saved in the "All" email folder which is the way most Gmail users manage their mailbox.
This BIS upgrade is barely qualifying of an upgrade title.

I've also found that the BIS 2.6 upgrade no longer detects Google Apps for Domains accounts - I've had to set mine up manually for T-Mobile and AT&T.
Previously this would detect my email even though it wasn't an @gmail.com domain.

I had no problem setting up my google-hosted domain on 2.6 - it defaults to IMAP.

Both my AT&T and T-Mo refused to automatically setup despite half a dozen attempts both via device and web.

Now that I think about it, I set up a gmail account on a friend's 8900 running on a TMobile BES on Friday morning.
I got all the new gmail set-up screens and, when he tested it and sent me an email, he did not get any copy of the message he sent.
Could it be that 2.6 was already running?

I am using IMAP. I know I am in 2.6. I just added back my g-mail acct. I will send a message from my BB and it will show in gmail. When I delete on the BB, the sent item remains. What am I doing wrong?

I don't think it will delete from the Sent Items folder in GMail only the Inbox folder.. For BIS we have only had Inbox reconcilation nothing else :(
At least that is how I think it's suppose to work.
For the first time I feel the future might hold something different for me. It's possible I'm fooling myself but I'm willing to take the risk.

So I deleted and re-added gmail on both mine and my wife's BB's and it seems to be working....read messages and deleted messages on the BB sync after a few seconds (deleted items always synced for us before). And I no longer need my Sent Items filter. But interestingly, if I send myself a message from my gmail account to my gmail account, the message doesn't appear on my BB (it does show up in my web Inbox). Maybe google basically built in the sent items filter for us. Not a big deal but was just using that as a test to see if the behavior was different than it used to be. Overall push speed seems comparable to the way it was before (maybe a few seconds slower).

I had this issue with yahoo. But it would happen every few weeks. There is obviously a bug and we may have exhausted the workarounds

Has anyone noticed that in BIS 2.6 Yahoo reconcilation for read/unread/delete from the web interface to the blackberry is delayed up to 1 minute? Before the upgrade it was instant 2-3 seconds. I deleted and re-created it in the new BIS but it still delays. Email delivery is as instant as before.

This update doesn't appear to have been pushed out to att and yet do not have the ability to see passwords on device (still ***) and no ability to modify signatures from device. Does anyone know when the at&t rollout will occur? Yea! 1 way gmail sync!
Love the 9000!! It's everything I wanted (minus enough ON BOARD memory)!!

I'm on AT&T and I have one way sync of read and deleted messages (haven't tried the passwords or sigs, nor do I plan to). Updated both my 9000 and my wife's 8300 this weekend and both have one way sync.

I am in rush hour, just sent (from gmail acct from my BB) my yahoo an email. It hit my PC like in 3 seconds...and in less than 1 second hit my BB.
I tried reading a msg from my BB and it updated on my PC in about 8 seconds. Conversely, I UNREAD the same message on my PC and it took about 25-30 seconds to update on my BB.

It should only be 1 sync.. Marking something unread in GMail from your desktop should mark the email as unread on your BlackBerry.
Interesting.. I may need to try that.

I posted this in 2 other threads now, but I completely agree with you mas90guru. For me, this is a step backwards. Before this "upgrade" I had all IMAP functionality working, AND when I deleted an email message, it would go to "All Mail", not the trash.
Now I'm stuck checking and managing 2 email boxes again, when before the blackberry was all I ever needed to use. I used to just leave the messages I needed to follow-up on in the inbox itself, and let all the others sit in "All Mail" in case I needed them. Now its going to get extremely confusing and cluttered.
I've even tried enabling the "Advanced IMAP Options" in GMail. Still no luck.

We are talking about yahoo mail here, NOT Gmail. Gmail is still syinky one-way sync where Yahoo is still full two-way after the 2.6 change

True, but as other have reported Yahoo 2-way sync has delayed a bit since BIS 2.6 was implemented. Yahoo email is still getting pushed almost instantly to the BB. However there are delays up to 1 minute for sync BB->web and web->BB that was instant before. Still better than Gmail 1-way though I used Gmail as well.
