Default Backup Blackberry SIM - 04-05-2009, 11:18 AM

My wife travels internationally very extensively. She has been outside the US nine weeks in 2009. She has an unlocked Curve 8900, which is UMA enabled, BES, and with Tmobile as the primary carrier. I recognize that UMA will not work if a third party SIM is in the phone.

She has occasionally had some roaming problems. It took them close to a week to sort out her problems in the UAE. In the interim, she had to rely on a wifi connection in her hotel room only to sync her BB.

I was wondering if there were any roaming SIMs that were BB compatible that could be turned on (in BB mode) instantly with a txt message or something as a backup. I'm looking at the Call in Europe SIM (link at end of message), but they seem to say it may take several days to turn it on. I was wondering if there was any other alternatives.
