Default Web Browsing via BES Server Behind ISA - 05-21-2009, 08:31 AM

Hi all,

We have a BES server (4.1) behind an MS ISA 2006 box. When BB users try to browse the internet, they get a 403 unauthorized message. The ISA server is configured to allow unauthenticated access from the BES server to the required websites, but for some reason these requests still get blocked. The ISA box shows 12202 unauthorised errors.

Any help appreciated.

Stu

As a temp fix while you work on this issue, you can advise the users to use the "Internet Browser" instead of the "BlackBerry Browser" then when the issue is resolved, force the users to the "BlackBerry Browser" via IT Policy. So they can use their BlackBerry to browse the internet, unless this is company policy of course.

Open the Browser -> hit the menu key and choose options, Browser Options, Browser: change that option.

For the first time I feel the future might hold something different for me. It's possible I'm fooling myself but I'm willing to take the risk.
