Default iSeries access through MDS - 08-11-2009, 01:17 PM

How can I configure the MDS to allow access through the internal network? Is there any instruction on how to access the iSeries terminal through MDS?

Thank you,

There's nothing to configure. If MDS-CS is installed and the service is started, then you should be able to access internal network resources from the BlackBerry.

You'd also need some type of 5250 client on your handheld. Which one are you using?

Using tn5250 client from TN5250 for BlackBerry - 5250 to AS/400 / iSeries access its the trail.
The MDS is configured to access the interanet/internet through proxy. In order to access the iSeries server should the host address for the iseries be included in the proxy allowed access?

Thank you,
