Default New Sim Card not working on unlocked 8120

I have a BB 8120 on T-mobile and I'm traveling in Europe. I got an unlock code from t-mobile, they walked me through the unlock and it was done correctly.

Now I have bought a sim card and minutes, installed the sim card and the phone is stuck on SOS. It's been over 24 hours. I have tried adding the codes for the purchased minutes which is a *123* but my phone asks if I want to call or sms that number.

Can anyone help? The new sim card is from 3 here in Sweden. I don't need email or network on it - just want to make calls.

Check these steps to really make sure it is unlocked... That's first.
