Default Blackberry 8820 not connecting to internet - 02-28-2009, 11:58 PM

I have tried all the WAP information for At&t and cingular. It seems to make an attempt when I have APN: wap.cingular and IP:10.250.250.250 Port:9201.
What else should I try? And I have all connections set to allow.

Go to "options", then "Advanced Options", select "TCP", for APN type "internet"; leaves username and password "blank" for both.

Then you are on your way!

Respectfully yours,

Hi there, I am a newbie to blackberry. Have a bold simlocked to 3 uk network and was so pleased with that, that I have now purchased an unlocked blackberry storm UK model. Am having problems finding the browser settings to enable me to use the storm on 3. I tried putting my bold simcard in the unlocked handset and although I can use it to make and recieve calls, texts, I cant email or use the internet. It also sent me a message saying that blackberry had registered the unlocked handset. I am getting frustratingly confused as to how to set up the browser on 3. I will need the UK settings. I have tried to go through 3 customer services by phone and store, with no joy! I would very much appreciate help to be able to move forward with this problem. Thanks.

BIS is not free. You have to add the BB data plan to your account.

Default Can BB 8320 wifi access internet without data plan - 09-15-2009, 12:38 AM

Data plans have gotten ridiculously overpriced. T-mobile Non BES Data plan is now $39/month. we have unlocked Blackberry BB curve 8320 with wifi. Is it possible to access internet with out a data plan at a hotspot using wifi instead of T-mobile cellular GPRS10, Edge, or 3G ? We do not need internet access when away from wifi hot spot, so why would we need to buy these data plans. We would subscribe to T-mobile voice and text plan and avoid these overpriced data plans. Please Advise

Default No option to change APN address on 8900 on Rogers - 09-17-2009, 12:59 AM

I have a BB Curve 8900 on Rogers.

When I go to the TCP/IP settings, there is no option to set the APN, only:

APN Settings Enabled (Checkbox)
APN Authentication Enabled (Checkbox)
then username and password.

I'd like to set the APN to internet.com (if it's not already set). Really what I'd like to do is to be able to have 'true' internet without having to connect to wifi. I keep getting "Tunnel Failed" errors running SSH or an IMAP mail client.

If anyone can suggest something, please let me know.

Thanks
