This is shiva. Your fellow-blackberry developer. I have a problem, connecting to the internet from the application that I have designed(It works fine with a BES connection). The specifications are as follows.

Handset: 8310
Carrier: Airtel(India)
Connection-Type: BIS

Problem:
Unable to connect to the internet from my application through a BIS connection.
Error Message: java.IO.IOException. Invalid URL parameters.

Quetion(s):
When i connected though BES, i had the url parameter as 'deviceside=false'.

I am aware that i have to change the url parameters appropriately for a BIS connection.

My question is, Is it necessary for me to join in a blackberry alliance program to obtain the url parameters?

I have obtained a BIS connection from my service provider (Airtel). I have enquired them, if they have any such parameters that they can provide me with. But negative.

Kindly help me out in this issue ASAP. I had a client asking me for my app working in a BIS connection. Thanks in advance
