Default using all my bonus data?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys,
I only got my blackberry yesterday so I hardly understand anything yet, and I activated by BIS yesterday also, however, my bonus data came through today.
I am in Australia and with the carrier Three, and got a 500mb internet pack which gives me unlimited BIS data.

I have switched data use on roaming off, but I just checked my internet usage (which, I might add, only popped up an hour ago) and it says I have already used 150mb of data.
Yesterday, when I went to the store, my internet was not working, only BIS data was. So I could use all the apps and my wifi but not the internet through my carrier's WAP. However, at about 5pm tonight while I was on the train, the internet turned on and I was able to use the WAP. I don't know, however, if that's because I changed a setting in advanced options >> browser >> default browser configuration >> internet browser. It was originally set as 'Planet 3', and when that was the case it kept asking me to sign up for mobile internet packs whenever I attempted to use google. Did I do something to the settings which is now going to train all my bonus data?

I am freaking out because I don't understand how I used 150mb of data in an hour, and even if it had been working yesterday, in one day.

My question is - WHAT USES BIS DATA AND WHAT DOESN'T USE BIS AND HOW CAN I FIGURE OUT WHEN I AM USING MY BONUS DATA AND WHEN I AM USING BIS? Is my blackberry using WAP over MDS data? How can I check?

Why would it be doing this if I have unlimited data for BIS? I thought that that meant whenever I used Facebook or anything else, it wouldn't eat in to the bonus 500mb I have. Also, since the internet was relatively inactive last night, I was just using wifi. I tried using the internet with wifi switched off and it did not work. Was I deceived, and it was using WAP anyway when it did work?

Are there settings I need to check or change? Also, what the hell does 'Browser Push' mean? How can I tell if I am using the Blackberry browser or the Three WAP?

Planet 3 is the WAP browser. It possible when trying to access a site, it was inadvertently sending the request, therefore using data.

Internet browser means it will use carrier network and wi-fi, and should be BIS.

Having looked at the t&c's for the data package you mentioned, it states "when accessed via the BlackBerry® APN".
Its possible that you need to input the blackberry apn in the apn settings to make sure its using it.

Thanks so much for replying.
Yes it was originally on Planet 3 for the default browser.
Now it is changed to Internet Browser.

How do I insert this APN?

Okay wait I found the APN.
It is currently attempting to access through a tmobile name,as that is where I purchased my phone. This isn't my carrier though.
What should it be!? D:
