Unhappy Unable to get BB Plan

Please Login to Remove!

I tried to get a BB Plan with my carrier and during the configuration they told me that there was a problem with my cell phone. I cannot remember the error message exactly but it was something like "Series xxxxxx are not in the Blackberry database". The lady told me that this may be due to the fact that my phone is an unlocked T-Mobile and there may be some sort of arrangement that only through them I could get a plan. Is this true? Is this done through a BB owned database? How can I find out why my phone is not in the BB database?

Could it be that you have an engineering model or one thta has been blacklisted as lost or stolen?

Or could it be that the previous owner did not cancel their BIS plan and therefore the PIN has not been released?

Did you buy it used?

Or this is a GSM vs CDMA/iDEN models and carriers. Remember only GSM BBs are for GSM carriers and CDMAs are for CDMA providers.

You need to use one of the models sold by ICE (8120, 8220, 9700) in order to activate the service. Once activated, you can switch to the device of your choice, but be aware that not all services may work as intended.
