Default BES/BIS Config

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone, I have recently picked up a 8700G T-mobile BB and have it setup pretty well so far. I've been reading the forums and leveraging a member that's been on here for awhile.

My question is about optimal setup to make sure I have the best synch times and that I can leverage all the options. I signed up with ExchangeMyMail for BES and Exchange service, which I have setup on my BB and home computer. On my home computer, I also am receiving mail from 2 other POP e-mail accounts. The way I have it setup now, it looks like I'm receiving all of the mail (synched with Outlook) but I can only send from my Exchange Account.

How is this configuration? It seems that I'm counting on my desktop computer being available to synch with the Exchange server to get my POP3 e-mails to my BB. Should I setup BIS to receive my POP3 e-mails on my BB or should I forward my POP3 e-mails to my Exchange account for better reliability?

Thanks,
Jared

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

It would be better to leave your setup the way it is. Then go to the blackberry and set up the bb email via the setup button. I wouldn't forward them to your exchange account. If you set them up correctly, you can still have one way sync on your blackberry (deletions/read mail will be pushed to your pop mail).
