Finally it seems BIS 2.0 has hit the UK through O2. Any new accounts set up via BlackBerry Internet Service will now be on the new system. At a RIM presentation a few months ago RIM claimed they would migrate any older versions to 2.0 when it went live, this doesn't seem to be the case yet, but new one's we're signing up clients on are running through the new system. I must say that mail delivery is running so much faster through the new system and it's so much better for users not having to manage yet another mailbox.

Hi,

I am new to BlackBerry and o2 (2 weeks) and wonder what the difference the new webclient will make? Having subscribed only a couple of weeks ago - will this mean I am running the older version of the BIS?

Click on the 'airtime manager' link in my sig to read a full review. If you're on the old system you should be able to contact O2 and give them your PIN and user credentials and they'll delete your account for you. You can then go back to o2email and create a new account which will automatically be on the new system.

Thanks. Have emailed o2 so fingers crossed they will upgrade me.
