Default Workaround to Change/Free up PIN/IMEI on BIS? - 08-06-2006, 01:59 PM

This is related to this post of mine:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/blac...lease-bis.html

Is there a way that I can "fake out" the "enter a new handset" function via BIS, that will then allow *me* to effectively free up my current PIN/IMEI. Otherwise, I anticipate a further delay in this happening from Cingular's data support people. Just a thought. Thanks

Mark

Wirelessly posted (Cingular 7130c: BlackBerry7130/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

It takes Cingular data support about 2 minutes to do that for you. Its getting customer service to transfer you that takes awhile.

Okay. Thanks very much. I'll just sit tight and call them tomorrow.
