I've got a problem thats got me tossed

We have a new install of BES 4.1.2 (Using Exchange 2003 SP2)

My problem is that the Blackberry will not send emails. We get an X on the screen on the Blackberry and a status message that says 'Desktop email program was unable to submit message'

It will however receive emails, receive Calandar items. It will also sync deletions of emails and calandar items. ( Delete on Blackberry, deletes in outlook and vice versa)


Steps we've done.
Checked permisions of BESDAMIN account
*Confirmed set to Domain Users only
* Separate BES box with BESADMIN as local admin account
*Permisions on SBS Exchange 2003 server appear correct
'Send as' permission on the OU with Users
'Exchange View Only Administrator'

What we've tried.
Deleted the Desktop [CMIME] service book
Restarted Blackberry Router and other services.
Applied recommended Exchange 2003 hot fix
Zapped the Blackberry. Tried a different Blackberry (Same Sim) same result.

One note. We use Exchange pop connector to collect email from our ISP and though we send out email via SMTP we don't receive it or have port 25 Open for incoming on our firewall.

Just had the same issue as you (did you find an answer)

Tried deleting all Desktop Service Books
Registering With Network
Restarting BB
Re Syncing
Re-Gen Encryption Key

Still won't send mail. Can send PIN -> PIN, sync deletions, same as above.

Think I have found the solution. We recently migrated to Exchange 2003 but hadn't set the correct permissions on all of the accounts.
