Default Need help in connecting device simulator with BES network

Please Login to Remove!

I have installed trial version of BES for MDS applications on my laptop. I have also installed the device simulator. My main aim is to connect the simulator to the BES and browse a website on the simulator. On a later stage I plan to push an application to the simulator from the BES.

First of all I want to know whether the above is possible, and secondly I would like some hints or directions to guides which can help me do this.

What I have achieved till now:
I have connected the simulator to the BES by starting the BES, then the simulator. From the simulator i choose 'Simulate USB connection'. From the device manager's stats I verified that the simulator is indeed connected.

However i don't think the MDS is functioning as i'm not able to browse a website from the simulator...

Any help would be much appreciated as the trial period is about to expire!

Thanks in advanced

...or to put it simply, how can i 'register' (if that's the keyword to use) the simulator on the MDS? I managed to enter the MDS Administration web console...

Another thing - Do i need to have SRP status connected for my above achievement? At the moment SRP is disconnected and before going in the trouble to try make it connect, I would like to know whether SRP has to do with simply making the Device Simulator browse the internet through BES for MDS applications

Are you using the JDE or the standalone simulators? If your using the standalone simulators you have to also download and install the MDS simulator. Start the MDS simulator and then the device simulator and thats it.

P.S. There is really no need to create a second thread for the same issue.
