Question Specify SMTP server not RIM'S

Please Login to Remove!

I need to use my SMTP server and not RIM'S for my 8700c with Cingular. I can send and recieve using POP from my mail server, but I need to send through my SMTP server. Some emails going through RIM are not getting to where they need to be. My SPF record and reverse DNS point to my server. Other servers are rejecting them because they don't match the sending server.

Thanks,

Traigo.

Can't be done with POP. BIS will only use it's own SMTPs. Only real work arounds are using Outlook Web Access or Mail Connector. I don't know if either is an option for you.

I think there are 3rd party mail clients for the BB that will let you do that. I think the product from Reqwirless could to that

A possible solution is to add RIM's IP addresses to your SPF record.
