and no i dont want to use the googletalk hack which im currently but unreliable. and no i dont want to pay monthly or yearly subscription for some of the im out there.

i want something free just like the yahoo messenger hack. so any1 here know if msn or aim one exist yet?

I'm using verichat and it works like a charm. It runs msn/aim/icq/yahoo

The service books for the msn and aim clients work fine on the device. RIM has removed the service for them though, so conenctions just time out.
The only "hack" as you say is to get RIM to publicly release them. I don't suggest holding your breath, but if you must do it in a wide open space so you don't hit your head.

Yup. The clients are to be only for the carriers that adopt them. Everyone found out about those download pages though, and once there was a service book backup made available, we were using them. But it only lasted for a couple hours. Someone caught on and now even though service books are on the device, the clients will not connect.
They won't work again until a) the clients are made available for eeveryone (again, no breath holding) or b) Your carrier decides to offer them.
