I have my 8800 activated using BIS and BES at my work. I used to connect using desktop redirector (I have deleted the service books for that in applications, so it no longer shows as a messaging service).

For whatever reason, when I hit "view folders" in my messaging icon, I have REALLY OLD folders that used to be on my desktop outlook (which no longer exist there as well - but shouldn't matter since I no longer since my blackberry with my desktop - just at work).

How can I delete these folders? There seems to be no option to do that on my blackberry.

Goto make a backup and select 'Advanced', then find the 'Folders' and delete them. Wait a few seconds, maybe a minute. It will then pull whatever folders are on your Exchange and BES server back to your device. If that/those folder(s) show up again then there is some record of it on the Exchange server. -Pk
