Default Outlook Web Access Stopped For No Reason?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all. I am a new Curve user, using BIS to retrieve e-mails on an Exchange 2003 server through Outlook Web Access (OWA). I set up my e-mail account on the AT&T web page and everything worked just fine for two days.

This AM, I received an e-mail in my inbox for this account which says:

"This e-mail account is no long accessible by your Blackberry device." It continues that this is likely a result of a new password/configuration change.

Thing is, I didn't change anything. I went into the AT&T BIS config page and re-saved my account info (again, no changes) and it now works again, but I'd like to avoid this issue in the future.

Anyone else experience this issue and have a fix? I searched but didn't find this issue discussed by others.

Thanks for any information you can provide.

JPTurner

Your Exchange 2003 server was shut down for maintenance for extended period of time.

After few unsuccessful attempts to connect to your Exchange server blackberry gave up and assumed it must be wrong password.

As your IT folks not to power off Exchange server for long time.

This happens from time to time and as alluded to above, it is dependent on the corp exchange server and not a bb issue.

The same issue may arise if you were trying to access from a desktop and the corp server was down.

Thanks for your responses. The same thing happened this AM. I think I need to completely power down my BB at night, because it appears our OWA goes down in the middle of the night, perhaps when the server is backing up. Weird.

Powering down BB would not help as these are RIM's servers that are polling your Exchange server, not your BB.

You can open ticket with AT&T/Cingular and ask them escalate to RIM.
