Default Blackberry Data Plans

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, I know a lot of people have been talking about using wap over opera mini with their blackberries without a data plan. I just bought a blackberry for Alltel on Ebay yesterday, and I plan to use it on prepaid, on the nights and weekends when it's free. The Alltel folks said they would activate it, but my question is, is it possible at all to use the Alltel wap servers like I do now on my phone, on the blackberry? Also, will I still be able to tether and get evdo data over bluetooth? And last, will the blackberry keep using data if the data is turned on when I'm on normal hours when it costs me money? I know I can turn this feature off, but I want to know if I can just turn the e-mail synchronization off. I know this has been constantly covered in the forums, but because some people are saying it's possible, and some aren't, I'm really confused.

Thank you for your time,
Bobby

Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Bottom line: you must have a BlackBerry Data Plan to have FULL data use on your BlackBerry. You may be able to Opera to work with TCP, not the wap browser. The BlackBerry Data Plan does not have a nights and weekends only plan.
Good luck.
