Default Blackberry data

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, I just activated my blackberry on a alltel prepaid account. About every minute, it shows arrows on the top of the screen. Alltel charges per minute on data, and on my plan, it's not cheap. Does this mean the blackberry is sending and recieving data? If it is, how do I disable this so I do not get charged alot.
Thank you,
Bobby

Yes, that generally means data. It can also be normal communications between your phone and the network, as well. Go to Options >Network. If there is an option for "data services on/off" then set it there. If the option is not there then you can't turn data off.
